Yes, the tray and lid are rated from -30°C to 210°C, so it goes straight from the freezer into a preheated oven without needing to thaw first. If you are reheating on the hob or in a microwave, transfer portions to a suitable pan or dish first.
The food-grade silicone is flexible enough to release frozen portions with a gentle push from the base of each compartment, without running the tray under hot water. Portions come out cleanly in one piece, which makes it easy to drop a single serving straight into a saucepan or container while the rest stay frozen in the tray.
The 250ml compartments work well for sauces, stocks, gravies, smoothie bases, baby food, leftover curry, bolognese and any other liquid or semi-liquid you want to portion and store. Because the tray is oven-safe as well as freezer-safe, it can also be used for baking individual portions such as mini cakes or egg dishes, making it a useful tray to have in the kitchen beyond meal prep alone.
