Can I put it in the oven or microwave from frozen?
Yes. The silicone tray is rated from -30°C to 210°C so it goes from the freezer into a preheated oven without thawing. It is also microwave safe so you can reheat portions without moving them to another dish. Take the lid off for oven use.
How do I get frozen portions out?
Push gently from the base of each compartment. The flexible non-stick silicone releases the frozen portion in one piece without running the tray under hot water. Any other portions stay frozen in the tray.
What are the fill lines for?
Each compartment has fill lines at 125ml and 250ml so you can freeze exact portions of soup or sauce or stock. The lines mark half a cup and one cup. Each tray has two compartments.
What else can I freeze in it?
Sauces, stocks, gravies, smoothie bases, baby food and leftover curry or bolognese all freeze well in measured portions. The tray is also oven safe so you can bake individual portions such as mini cakes.
