How much does it cost to run a 1500W heater in the UK?
At the current Ofgem rate of 26.32p/kWh, running this heater on the 1500W setting costs around 39.5p per hour, or roughly £1.58 for 4 hours of continuous use. On the 750W low setting it's about half that. Actual cost is usually lower once the thermostat starts cycling the heater on and off.
What size room will this heater heat?
A 1500W ceramic heater is best suited to small-to-medium rooms, bedrooms, home offices, or single rooms up to around 15–20m². It's a supplementary or spot heater rather than a replacement for central heating in larger or open-plan spaces.
Is it safe to leave this heater on overnight?
It has an automatic tip-over switch and overheat protection, which reduce risk, but we recommend not leaving any portable electric heater running unattended overnight. Turn it off before sleeping or leaving the room, and keep it clear of bedding, curtains and furniture.
What's the difference between a ceramic heater and a standard fan heater?
